I found it helpful keeping my camera with me. All those times I wished I had one, now I do. One got used on the Australian Bureau of Meteorology monthly magazine (inset on the shot). Here are some more... I got the opportunity to be able to photograph people where they didn't mind the cameras around, allowing for thoughtful portraits. More here.. My first real use of macro lens. It worked out easily hand held, and when needed a little bike torch to add light. More here... The camera is a fixed lens Olympas SP-55)UZ (second hand at Michael's camera store). These were shot using auto. I didn't have time to learn the settings before going, in fact I'm only just learning manual now. This shot I think was a very fortunate mistake. More here...
